Internal Family Systems (IFS)
One of the therapies we offer is Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy – a unique and effective way to heal and transform your relationships with yourself and others.
Paige Severance, LAC, Amanda Nomicos, LAC and Ali Iverson (Schilling), Psy.D. all provide IFS informed therapy.
IFS therapy is a gentle and non-invasive approach, designed specifically to help individuals understand the underlying dynamics of their emotional and psychological experiences. This therapeutic approach is based on the belief that every human being is made up of a series of "parts" or sub-personalities that represent different aspects of our being. For example, one part of us might represent our inner critic – the voice that tells us we're not good enough or that we should always be working harder. Another part of us might represent our inner child – the part that remembers the joys and pains of growing up.
You will learn to identify your conscious parts and explore the roots of these experiences.
The goal of IFS therapy is to help individuals identify and understand these various parts, to develop compassion for them, and to ultimately transform the harmful patterns that have kept them stuck in unhealthy emotional or behavioral patterns.
Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, or any other challenge, our team of experienced therapists will work with you to create a customized treatment plan that fits your unique needs and goals.
We offer counseling online and at our Scottsdale, AZ location utilizing this therapy approach. Please schedule a free treatment consultation to learn more.
